  • Why NFRT?

We are the folks that designed and built the first NFT with Onchain Royalties & License Consent Management entitled the EIP-4910.

We now take our best technology in the EIP-4910 & introduce a new, creator & collector friendly, NFT that we call the NFRT.

The NFRT solves many of the technical and legal problems facing the NFT ecosystem.

    On-Chain Royalties

Currently NFT marketplaces have discretion to enforce NFT creator royalties and in some instances no royalties are paid. Does NFRT fix lack of enforceable royalties?

Yes! Our NFRT technology provides for automatic onchain distribution of royalties to creators and rights holders whenever and wherever their NFTs are resold.

    On-Chain License Consent Management

Currently numerous NFT projects do not get buyer "opt-in consent" to the NFT license terms especially on secondary sales - this puts the NFT project at legal risk - Does NFRT fix the license consent gap?

Yes! Our NFRT technology gets buyer opt-in consent to the NFT license terms and writes the evidence of consent to the blockchain.

By presenting the NFT license terms at the point of transaction and waiting for user consent before the smart contract transfers the NFT, and writing evidence of consent to the blockchain, even on secondary sales, our NFT technology solves the issue of binding NFT license agreements. NFRT mitigates one of the biggest legal risks facing the NFT ecosystem.

The NFRT technology bolsters consumer protection by providing "notice and consent" at the point of sale, copyright integrity by creating binding licensing terms, and trademark integrity by creating binding license terms and providing a mechansim to avoid "naked trademark licenses" which could lead to losing trademark rights. With the addition of digital identity, KYC/AML solutions, & two factor authentication tools, this also allows NFT IP owners or Licensors to have compliance tools to prevent fraud, to know or learn who their NFT licensees are without the need to store personal indentifying information, to discern infringers from those who are authorized licensees, and to take action against those in breach of the NFT license agreement.

    Buy and Sell NFRTs Anywhere

Currently the vast majority of those who want to sell and buy NFTs are beholden to big centralized marketplaces and their policies are sometimes unpredictable - they have the power to de-platform creators even accidentally. They may take a big cut of the NFT transaction, and limit the ability of creators to have their own fans and collectors come to the creators' own websites to transact - Does NFRT fix the need for a marketplace?

Yes! Brands can choose to sell NFRTs with an embed on their own domain manifesting an "on the fly" white label system. Each NFT acts as it's own store. No marketplace is needed.

Each NFRT is assigned its own unique decentralized landing page with an NFT "label" that summarizes the IP, license rights, and other relevant information in what is being sold and purchased, allowing for a seamless buying and selling experience without the need for a marketplace. The decentralized NFRT landing page communicates with buyers and sellers as well as the smart contract. The NFRT Search engine can assist in NFT discovery, galleries, and validation. Selling an NFT is as easy as including a unique link on a blog, search engine, or even on Twitter.

    • Fairness: Onchain royalties provide a way for creators and other rights holders to be compensated for the use of their work, ensuring a fair distribution of revenue.
